    Plan Ahead

  1. Think ahead when ordering printed forms such as company letterhead, invoices, purchase orders, and business cards. Try to coordinate the move with yellow page ads and other advertisements. If at all possible, transfer your business phone number to the new location.
  2. Floor Plan

  3. Take the time to devise a thorough floor plan of the new location and where you want to place furniture and equipment in it. Be sure to take into account where electrical outlets and telephone jacks are located. Measure furniture. Make sure things will work as planned prior to the move.
  4. Alarms and Communications

  5. Make sure you understand how things work in the new building.cat6Understand any alarm, telephone or networking infrastructure. Make sure employees are trained on any new systems or procedures. Call Cremer Technologies to review your communication needs at your new location. We can move your current equipment or provide new. We can cable the facility. As You Pack

  1. Be sure to inventory everything you pack. This will help you make sure everything arrives in the new office. Packing is a good time to clean house: If you come across items you no longer need, throw them away rather than drag them with you. Label everything!
  2. Make Contact

  3. Make sure you start researching professional movers early on in the move.companymoving Get references and recommendations if at all possible. Also be sure and contact your utility companies so it knows when and where to transfer your services.
  4. Delegate and Involve

  5. Involve employees in the moving process. If at all possible, allow employees to have an open house at the new location prior to the move. Allow them to make comments and suggestions. Because there is a lot to do when moving a business, make sure to delegate responsibilities, perhaps by forming employee teams that are each responsible for preparing a part of the move.
  6. Have a Plan

  7. Be sure to have a practical plan in place for getting the new space up and running as soon as possible after the move. Determine what functions and equipment are most critical and how they can be up and running quickly.
